Why quit smoking? They’re a good lot of good reasons. Here are few to consider.
The main reason for quitting smoking is obviously your health. It is well known that smoking adversely affects health. Smoking damages your lungs. The soot in the smoke is an irritant and the smoke itself contains many toxins and chemicals that are harmful to the body. Lung cancer can advance very quickly and kill you equally fast. On the other hand, suffering from chronic lung disease is a slow and painful way to die.
Smoking also has financial repercussions. It is considered to be a rather expensive habit. Once you quit smoking, the money that you would have spent on cigarettes can be put to better use.
Another reason to quit smoking is the adverse effect your habit is having on your family. Exposure to secondhand can seriously affect health, especially health of children. In fact, being around a person who smokes is a genuine risk factor to health. Of course, you have the have the freedom and choice to smoke where you want, but there is a logic behind the ban on smoking in public places. A person who does not smoke shouldn’t have to experience negative health effects because some else is addicted to smoking.

Varenicline is a stop-smoking pill, about to be released under the brand name, Chantix. It was invented by a chemist at Pfizer Inc., who used to be a heavy smoker himself, smoking up to 2.5 packs a day.
Stop-smoking pills are for smokers who want to get their fitness levels back and to feel good about themselves again. And they are designed to give those individuals who feel they cannot stop on their own, the support and aid they need.
